All tailored Topic-design and Spreadsheet-design databases by proVision-design come with a 1-year limited warranty to ensure the database continues to function as delivered and approved by the customer.  The following details apply to the 1-year limited warranty:
             
             1. Excludes any database problems/changes due to the customer's physical computer(s) or network, including cloud(s).
             2. Excludes any database problems/changes due to the customer's computer or network security including hardware and software.
             3. Excludes any database problems/changes due to any modification of the source code, including hacking or malicious code.
             4. Excludes any database problems/changes due to conflicts with other software.

Minimum System Requirements

                Operating System:  Windows 7 (Access 2010)
                                    Software: 32-bit Office (32-bit/x86 Access 2010)

Computer and Processor:  1 GHZ or faster x86 or 64-bit processor
                                     Memory:  1-GB RAM (32-bit), minimum
                                     Memory:  2 GB RAM (64-bit), recommended for graphics features
                                Disk Space:  3 gigabytes (GB)
   Hardware Acceleration:  Graphics hardware acceleration with DirectX10 graphics card

            Monitor Resolution:  1024 x 768 or higher

MS Access File Size Limit

Generally accepted limits are solutions with 1 GB or less of data (Access supports up to 2 GB) with attachments stored within the database.  proVision-design increases this file size limit by instead storing your attachments within your hard drive.  If you foresee large amounts of data stored into your database, consider expanding your back-end database with a Microsoft® SQL Server® database which is only limited by the storage size of your hard drive.

Programming Language - VBA

proVision-design programs all databases, features and integrations using the VBA programming language.  Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is an implementation of Microsoft's event-driven programming language Visual Basic 6 and its associated integrated development environment (IDE).

Compatible Operating Systems 

Our databases function only on the Microsoft Windows platform (versions: 7/8/8.1/10).  Please note that our databases are not compatible with the Microsoft Windows Phone platform.

Multiple/Concurrent Database Users

The number of simultaneous users that can be supported depends on the amount of data, the tasks being performed, level of use and application design.  Access generally performs quite well with 100 or fewer simultaneous connections (255 concurrent users are supported). This capability is often a good fit for department solutions.  proVision-design recommends that you upgrade the backend database to Microsoft® SQL Server® with more than 12 concurrent users.

MS Access Split-database Architecture

Microsoft Access applications can adopt a split-database architecture. The single database can be divided into a separate "back-end" file that contains the data tables (shared on a file server) and a "front-end" (containing the application's objects such as queries, forms, reports, macros, and modules). The "front-end" Access application is distributed to each user's desktop and linked to the shared database. Using this approach, each user has a copy of Microsoft Access (or the runtime version) installed on their machine along with their application database. This reduces network traffic since the application is not retrieved for each use.  The split-database architecture also adds another level of security when the back-end database is located in a nested folder within a shared drive or network.  The possiblity of database file modification or deletion is significantly reduced.

Interactive Reports

Interactive Reports are designed to provide information at a glance.  The format of the Interactive Report displays up to 21 data fields of your information in familiar rows and columns.  It is designed so that you can right-click directly on the data to select from multiple filtering and sorting menu options.  The result is your information is quickly viewable in a meaningful way and printable as a PDF.
